As a favor to the boys
This morning AL’s little tapeworm was in there kicking away, so I stuck my ear to the belly to check out the reason for all the fuss.
We ended up having a nice little chat, and the upshot is that the kid is asking me to pass on a favor request. He’d really appreciate it if all of you who’re here in Pennsylvania would please not forget to vote. His older brother was a bit of a policy wonk, and spent his life under the watchful eyes of a bunch of wonderful womenfolk getting a close-up view of the strengths and weaknesses of the U.S. health care system. So it’s very possible he would have been a Clinton supporter. This one seems to be more in line with the bulk of younger voters–tired of the partisan bickering and looking to get something constructive accomplished. Sounds like an Obama man.
Whatever your political stripe, we would consider it a grand gesture of respect to the memory of our firstborn, and to the potential of our on-the-way secundus, if you Keystone staters would take the time today to get out and cast your vote.
And for those of you planning to vote Republican in November, we love you despite the errors of your ways!
:-)
