Off the map

On Sunday AL reached 24 weeks and 3 days–the exact point in the pregnancy when Javid was born. So from here on out we’re in uncharted waters … or fluids, as it were.

Like the early explorers, we may think we know where we’re headed. In truth, we really have no idea. But in the words of Martin Sexton, “It’s in the journey that we find our destination.” So we’re trying to make sure, at the very least, to enjoy the ride.

Yesterday was 25 weeks, time to take another photo. Below yesterday’s picture you’ll find previous 5-week photos, allowing you to witness the transformation of my svelte SO into the current, increasingly Buddha-esque version.

Right now we’re still in risky territory if preeclampsia would suddenly reappear. If we can make it to the next 5-week marker, the outlook will be a lot better. So here’s to calm seas and on-going expansion of the midriff!
